Respondo que tengo dudas acerca de todo lo desconocido.

Alguna vez dije, en tono humorístico, que, si hay un Dios que gobierna el universo y nos envía a la tierra para vivir una nueva vida, sin tener memoria de haber estado en otro tiempo, nos está haciendo una broma pesada. Imaginé cosas cotidianas; ¡otra vez la escuela, el bachillerato, la Universidad (si tengo suerte de nacer dentro de la misma clase social a la que pertenezco), los primeros años frente al mundo, las dudas, la incertidumbre, la construcción de la identidad, la primera experiencia sexual a la que uno entra temeroso y sale espantado…los amores, los adioses!¡No Dios, no me hagas eso!

No creo ni dejo de creer. Es muy poco lo que sabemos de la vida y del cosmos que es el lugar donde estamos en esta nave espacial. Me causa gracia cuando alguien me dice que” le encantaría hacer un viaje por el espacio” …Oye, contesto ¿qué crees que estamos haciendo? Finalizo el cantautor.

Háblame del destino. Es raro conversar con un cantante que exprese lo que tú dices naturalmente.

En los EEUU hay un punto donde las aguas se dividen y parten, unas hacia el Pacífico y otras hacia el Atlántico. En un momento dado se separan irreversiblemente y pareciera que nunca se volverán a juntar. (Se juntarán en la inmensidad de los océanos).

Podríamos decir lo mismo del nacimiento a partir del cual se produce una separación definitiva. Algo nace y algo no nace. ¿Raro no? Déjame seguir…

El destino sería una manera de separación irreversible y definitiva.

Pero esa especie de “reversibilidad” provocará que las cosas separadas sigan siendo cómplices.

La microfísica habla de la separación y la inseparabilidad de micro partículas que quedarán ligadas bajo el fenómeno de partícula y antipartícula.

En la vida de los seres humanos aparece el destino dentro de la tragedia donde está la forma de que se nace y se muere bajo el mismo signo.

El signo que nos trae a la vida es el mismo que nos llevará a la muerte.

El destino es una forma esférica, pues cuanto más nos alejamos de un punto más nos acercamos al mismo lugar.

El destino no nos habla propiamente de “intenciones”. A veces tengo la idea de que mientras se desarrolla una vida de gloria y de éxitos, en alguna parte obscura algún dispositivo trabaja a la inversa que de manera imprevisible y sombría nos sumergirá en la euforia del drama.

La fatalidad no se puede explicar por la causas (¿qué es lo que provoca una fatalidad?) y es allí que en un momento dado contradice todas las causalidades, pues la fatalidad viene desde lejos con una destinación secreta.

A través de estas reflexiones intuyo que eres un hombre que no está “desesperado y ansioso “por su carrera artística y sus logros. ¿Es así?

Es posible. Yo tengo buen humor y amo cada día de mi vida, aún aquéllos que me han hecho sufrir.

El amor, el goce, el sufrimiento, las calumnias padecidas, las traiciones recibidas son partes constituyentes de la identidad que iremos construyendo.

Curiosamente desde muy niño tuve la visión de que la muerte es algo o alguien que nos acompaña durante todo el camino y aprendí a convivir con dicho sentimiento que es muy profundo.

El destino siempre es el príncipe de la reversibilidad en acción.

¿Cómo ves el mundo que viene?

Lo veo como un mundo que no será “azaroso” sino de destino. Las coincidencias están predestinadas por una cuestión de supervivencia.

Respecto del mal hago mías las palabras de Elias Canetti ( Bulgaria; 25 de julio de 1905-Zúrich, Suiza; 14 de agosto de 1994) fue un pensador búlgaro y escritor en lengua alemana, Premio Nobel .)

“No vale la pena desear la venganza. Ella llegará y se hará automáticamente por la reversibilidad de las cosas”.

Ésta es la forma del destino.

¿Sigues sin realizar conciertos en vivo?

Eres adorable porque me haces siempre esa misma pregunta y debe ser porque te lo preguntan a ti.

Tengo una oferta para hacer un concierto en Praga ya que allí estaré grabando en Agosto/Septiembre.

No le encuentro sentido a semejante esfuerzo para llegar a un número limitado de personas, cuando estoy sumergido en un mundo de grabaciones que ha de llegar a millones, rodeado de muchos músicos y con enorme trabajo como es el de aprender cada mes una nueva canción de características complejas.

De todas maneras, confirmo que, además de Praga, tengo una oferta para dar cinco (5) conciertos en Buenos Aires que es una asignatura pendiente. Hablamos del Teatro Coliseo, pero para el 2023 tiene disponible una sola fecha y no la vemos atractiva. Además, una golondrina no hace verano.

Si doy esos conciertos me gustaría que sea en un ambiente intimista, cercano al público como el de los antiguos Café-Concerts. Yo he sido un artista de Café-Concerts en Francia durante muchos años. Lamentablemente los Mega recitales fueron matando ese formato. Es verdad que haber cantado en el Carnegie Hall me alejó de pequeños escenarios. Como digo siempre: tuvo el defecto de su virtud.

Pero Buenos Aires lo conserva. Tal vez iremos a su encuentro.

Además, estoy en edad para eso. Debo andar despacio.

¿En qué ciudad te sientes más cómodo?

Las circunstancias de la vida han provocado que yo tenga casas en cuatro (4) países diferentes. Muchos creen que es explicable por logros económicos. Es por todo lo contrario: se debe a una vida muy sacrificada en la que fui buscándome como artista hasta llegar al mosaico que soy actualmente.

Y así me hice de una “posta en cada pueblo”.

Paris, sin duda es mi hogar profundo. No puedo pasar mucho tiempo lejos de allí, sin escuchar el idioma ni esa cosa inmanente adjetivo-FILOSOFÍA (Que es interno a un ser o a un conjunto de seres, y no es el resultado de una acción exterior a ello)

que flota en el aire y que tal vez, sólo exista en mi alma. Pero mi alma es todo lo que tengo y no puedo dejarla en ninguna maleta. La llevo puesta. ( risas ).

¿Qué opinión tienes de los problemas que sufre Francia?

El mundo siempre está en crisis. Tratemos de recordar un tiempo sin crisis y comprobaremos que nunca existió una total calma, excepto “ La Pax Romana”. Pero se trataba de Cementerios donde antes había ciudades.

Creo que la humanidad está transitando su adolescencia.

Si tomamos los cinco mil años de historia del ser humano (lo anterior es leyenda o mito) y los dividimos en cuatro partes, estamos en el estadio adolescente.

Cuando nos acerquemos a la falta de alimentos por exceso de concentración, la humanidad va a madurar por la fuerza.

Me indigna ver lo que se tira en Europa y lo que falta en el resto de los países del planeta.

Las grandes corrientes que emigran hacia Europa o Estados Unidos me recuerdan lo que sucedió en el pasado con el Imperio Romano.

El esplendor era tan grande que “todos los caminos conducían a Roma”.

Cuando el Imperio comenzó a caer, las corrientes migratorias seguían entrando, derribando fronteras para “gozar” de una riqueza que solamente existía en las castas que durante dos mil años se enriquecieron con el poder y que empezaron a huir tierra adentro, cuando ya la desesperación de los mal llamados “ Pueblos Bárbaros” comenzaron a arrasar la bella Roma y otras ciudades del enorme territorio imperial.

Pero al llegar encontraban la misma miseria y destrucción que habían dejado atrás, en sus lejanos países.

Ahora hay una fiebre y deseo de llegar a Europa y EEUU. Y realmente encontrarán importantes carencias y un descenso evidente del nivel de vida.

Pero la luz sigue deslumbrando. Es como una leyenda que continúa. Es la repetición de la búsqueda del Dorado por parte de los europeos cuando llegaron a América.

¿Qué le dirías a los que huyen de sus países, en particular de Argentina?

Que tomen nota de mi pronóstico, que lo guarden para después recordarme si me he equivocado o acertado:

En cinco años la situación cambiará y comenzará el camino inverso, como en el pasado. Los europeos buscarán países como Argentina para iniciar una nueva vida. Los procesos son cíclicos. Lo que te dije al inicio de la nota…nos alejamos de un punto para regresar a él caminando en línea recta, porque el destino es una esfera y la historia misma lo demuestra.

La tarea que tienen los países llamados “emergentes” es luchar por desarrollar nuevas tecnologías, educar a su población como se hizo a fines del siglo XIX y Principios del XX y derribar las nuevas oligarquías, que, como en el caso de Argentina ya no son los

“Terratenientes “que reconocíamos en el pasado, sino los gobernantes que se enriquecieron gracias a la corrupción y las corporaciones sindicales que hicieron lo mismo. Además, el flagelo de la droga es el mal que deberá motivar a los pueblos para combatir contra ella y arribar a una vida mejor.

No todos los países del planeta poseen las bases que alguna vez tuvo la Argentina, que parafraseando a Homero Manzi es una

“Nación hecha pedazos que aún es Nación “( Del tango

1-Neni Gibelli: Do you believe in reincarnation?

J.De Niro: Reincarnation is the belief that a person's individual essence (soul or spirit) begins a new life in a different body or physical form after biological death.
I answer that I have doubts about the unknown.

I once said, humorously, that if there is a God who rules the universe and sends us to earth to live a new life, with no memory of having been in another time, he is playing a practical joke on us. I imagined everyday things; school again, high school, university (if I am lucky to be born into the same social class to which I belong), the first years facing the world, the doubts, the uncertainty, the construction of identity, the first sexual experience that one enters fearfully and leaves terrified... the loves, the goodbyes... No God, don't do that to me!

I don't believe and I don't stop believing. There is very little that we know about life and the cosmos, which is where we are in this spaceship. It amuses me when someone tells me that "they would love to take a trip into space" ...Hey, I answer, what do you think we are doing?

2-Neni Gibelli: Tell me about destiny. It's rare to talk to a singer who expresses what you say naturally.

J.De Niro: In the USA there is a point where the waters divide and part, some towards the Pacific and some towards the Atlantic. At a certain point they separate irreversibly and it seems that they will never meet again (they will meet in the immensity of the oceans).

We could say the same thing about the birth from which a definitive separation takes place. Something is born and something is not born. Strange, isn't it? Let me go on...

Destiny would be a way of irreversible and definitive separation.

However, this kind of "reversibility" will cause the separated things to remain accomplices.

Microphysics speaks of the separation and inseparability of micro particles that will be linked under the phenomenon of particle and antiparticle.

Destiny appears in the life of human beings within the tragedy where it is the way that one is born and dies under the same sign.

The sign that brings us to life is the same sign that will lead us to death.

Destiny is a spherical shape, the further we move away from a point the closer we get to the same place.

Destiny does not properly speak to us of "intentions". Sometimes I have the idea that while a life of glory and success is unfolding, somewhere in the dark some device works in reverse that will unpredictably and grimly plunge us into the euphoria of drama.

Fatality cannot be explained by causes (what causes a fatality?) and it is there that at a given moment it contradicts all causalities, for fatality comes from far away with a secret destiny.

3-Neni Gibelli: I sense from these reflections that you are a man who is not "desperate and anxious" about his artistic career and achievements. Is that so?

J.De Niro: It is possible. I am in a good mood and I love every day of my life, even the ones that have made me suffer.

The love, the joy, the suffering, the slander suffered, the betrayals received are constituent parts of the identity that we shall build.

Curiously, since I was a child, I had the vision that death is something or someone that accompanies us all the way and I have learnt to live with this feeling, which is very deep.

Destiny is always the prince of reversibility in action.

4-Neni Gibelli: How do you see the world coming?

J.De Niro: I see it as a world that will not be "random" but one of destiny. Coincidences are predestined as a matter of survival.

Regarding evil I make my own the words of Elias Canetti (Bulgaria; 25 July 1905-Zurich, Switzerland; 14 August 1994) was a Bulgarian thinker and writer in German language, Nobel Prize winner).

"It is not worth wishing for revenge. It will come and it will come automatically by the reversibility of things".

This is the form of destiny.

5-Neni Gibelli: Are you still not performing live concerts?

J. De Niro: You are adorable because you always ask me that same question and it must be because they ask you.

I have an offer to do a concert in Prague, as I will be recording there in August/September.

I find no sense in such an effort to reach a limited number of people, when I am immersed in a world of recordings that has to reach millions, surrounded by many musicians and with the enormous work of learning a new song with complex characteristics every month.

In any case, I confirm that, in addition to Prague, I have an offer to give five (5) concerts in Buenos Aires, which is a pending subject. We are talking about the Teatro Coliseo but for 2023, it has only one date available and we don't see it as attractive. Besides, one swallow doesn't make a summer.

If I give these concerts, I would like it to be in an intimate atmosphere, close to the audience like the old Café-Concerts. I have been a Café-Concert artist in France for many years. Unfortunately, the mega-recitals were killing this format. It's true that having sung at Carnegie Hall took me away from small stages. As I always say: it had the defect of its virtue.

Nevertheless, Buenos Aires retains it. Perhaps we will go to meet it.

Besides, I'm old enough for that. I must walk slowly.

6-Neni Gibelli: In which city do you feel most comfortable?

J. De Niro: Life circumstances have caused me to have homes in four (4) different countries. Many people think that this can be explained by economic achievements. It's the opposite: it's due to a very sacrificed life in which I sought myself as an artist until I reached the mosaic that I am today.

Therefore, I made myself a "post in every town".

Paris is undoubtedly my deepest home. I can't spend much time away from there, without hearing the language and that immanent (adjective-philosophy : which is internal to a being or to a group of beings, and is not the result of an action outside it) that floats in the air and which perhaps only exists in my soul. However, my soul is all I have and I can't leave it in any suitcase. I wear it (laughs).

7) Neni Gibelli: What is your opinion on the problems France is facing?

J.De Niro: The world is always in crisis. Let's try to remember a time without crisis and we will see that there was never a total calm, except for the "Pax Romana". But these were cemeteries where there used to be cities.

I believe that humanity is in its adolescence.

If we take the five thousand years of human history (the above is legend or myth) and divide it into four parts, we are in the adolescent stage.

When we approach food deprivation due to over-concentration, humanity is going to mature by force.

I am outraged to see what is being thrown away in Europe and what is lacking in the rest of the countries of the planet.

The large flows migrating to Europe or the United States remind me of what happened in the past with the Roman Empire.

The splendour was so great that "all roads led to Rome".

When the Empire began to fall, the migratory currents continued to enter, breaking down borders to "enjoy" a wealth that only existed in the castes that for two thousand years enriched themselves with power and that began to flee inland, when the desperation of the misnamed "Barbarian Peoples" began to raze the beautiful Rome and other cities of the enormous imperial territory.

But when they arrived they found the same misery and destruction they had left behind in their distant countries.

Now there is a fever and desire to reach Europe and the USA. And they will indeed find significant deprivation and a noticeable drop in living standards.

But the light continues to dazzle. It is like a legend that continues. It is the repetition of the search for El Dorado by the Europeans when they arrived in America.

8) Neni Gibelli: What would you say to those who flee their countries, in particular Argentina?

J.De Niro: That they take note of my prognosis, that they keep it to remind me later if I was wrong or right:

In five years the situation will change and the reverse will begin, as in the past. Europeans will look for countries like Argentina to start a new life. Processes are cyclical - what I told you at the beginning of the note...we move away from a point to return to it walking in a straight line, because the destiny is a sphere and history itself proves it.

The task for the so-called "emerging" countries is to fight to develop new technologies, to educate their population as was done in the late 19th and early 20th century and to bring down the new oligarchies, which, as in the case of Argentina, are no longer the "landowners" that we recognised in the past, but the rulers who got rich thanks to corruption and the trade union corporations that did the same. Moreover, the scourge of drugs is the evil that should motivate people to fight against it and to achieve a better life.

Not every country on the planet has the foundations that Argentina, which, paraphrasing Homero Manzi, Argentina is a "Nation in pieces that is still a Nation".
